The television chatters – meaninglessly
if lies are meaningless. Yet children
as in any age, are gullible
as at any age
The chatter
endless, repeating
to my pain
morning, noon and night
about
the decapitated head
the lifeless infant
the waste
to my pain —
thoughtless
meaningless chatter —
if lies be meaningless
