Norm’s note: Yeah, well, I’m feeling a bit blue, and I was reminded at someone’s blog of this song by Annie Lennox, and I thought, “Yeah. That’s kinda how I feel today. Probably, I’m not the only one. Maybe, then, because it will speak for someone else, too, he or she would be able to appreciate it as much I have. And, anyway, you don’t have to be blue to really feel this music, these lyrics, and that voice. Worth five minutes of anyone’s time, no matter how sad or happy they may be.”
There’s something about music and sadness, in their juxtaposition, that somehow makes the sadness less of a burden. Nothing is actually fixed, of course. But it is somehow made easier to take.
Enjoy.
Hat tip to steel city scribblings
Annie Lennox certainly knows how to deliver. Thanks for posting!

Just watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Annie sings the end song “Into the West”. Clear as a bell and perfect in every way, as only she can sing it.
