Norm’s note: I was reminded of Harold Pinter’s last valediction only yesterday by someone commenting in a ‘THREAD’ over at Off-Guardian. If you haven’t heard it yet ( or have never read it ( a transcript is HERE)), there is much in it to keep you brooding over it long after the read is done. . . Not the least of which is Pinter’s reference to Pablo Neruda’s “I’m Explaining a Few Things,” of which Pinter says , ” . . . nowhere in contemporary poetry have I read such a powerful visceral description of the bombing of civilians”
Indeed.
To be viewed (or read) and re-visited at least once a year . . .
