Taking Sides 
Very sobering! Seems like there’s a debate among ‘experts’ on everything involving health and we’re left ultimately to deciding for ourselves.

Indeed. Hence the reason why a person should attend to as many informed or expert points of view as possible on any far-reaching public policy issue, to be as independently informed as possible. Otherwise, how do you draw for yourself the most compelling and rational conclusions on these matters?
There are scientific questions and then there are matters of political and economic interests embroiled with those questions. The lot must be disentangled so that what are actually separate if related issues can be clearly ascertained and thought through.
It all requires the luxury of time and much effort, of course. But it should really be left up to us to ‘ultimately decide for ourselves.’
Thus the importance of freedom of speech and the unrestricted dissemination of and access to dissenting or unorthodox points of view on all things . . .
